  17. This is a fully functional version of SQLGEN.  The only modification is that only the demo 
  18. tables included can be selected to run queries on.  The full version of SQLGEN will allow 
  19. queries on any table remote or local.  Also included in the full version is a utility to 
  20. allow users to add their own SQL functions to the SQLGEN advanced form.

  24. SQLGEN is a graphical interface to SQL allowing the creation of SQL statements by simply 
  25. pointing and clicking with a mouse.

  28. INSTALLATION:
  29.  
  30.         SQLGEN is a Paradox 5.0 for Windows program.  Before beginning the installation, 
  31.         please make sure that Paradox is properly installed.  To install SQLGEN, load 
  32.         Paradox for Windows 5.0 and use File - Open - Form to run <install drive>INSTALL.FDL.
  33.         Where <install drive> is the letter of the disk drive that contains the SQLGEN 
  34.         diskette.  If your preference for the Install Drive or Destination Directory differs 
  35.         from the Install program's defaults, please fill in the appropriate drive and 
  36.         directory.  You are now ready to press the Install  button.  SQLGEN will begin 
  37.         copying itself to your selected drive and directory and install itself as an expert.
  38.         It will also add the Alias :SQLGEN: and add itself to the Paradox Tools menu.

  40. Running SQLGEN:
  41.  
  42. There are three ways to run SQLGEN:
  43.  
  44. 1.  Choose File|Open|Form and select the :SQLGEN: alias.  Make sure the Open Mode is set to 
  45.      View Data.  Select the form SQLGEN.FDL from the list and press the OK the button.
  46.  
  47. 2.  Press the Expert button located near the upper right hand corner of the Paradox screen.
  48.     When the Expert form is displayed, click on the SQLGEN button to start SQLGEN.
  49.  
  50. 3.  Select Paradox menu items Tools - SQLGEN ( hot key combination <Alt> T G)

  52. Notes:
  53.  
  54. 1. SQLGEN shows all SQL commands independently of what the database source is.  Please check 
  55.    your database documentation to see which of these commands are supported.  For local Paradox
  56.    SQL support, look in the Paradox on-line Help for Local SQL - Supported Syntax.
